MANCHESTER — A man from New York drowned Saturday morning while vacationing in Wayne County.
State police said Hubert Iturres Jr.,22, was with friends at Reflection Lakes in Manchester Township. Troopers said around 3:00 a.m. his friends wanted to leave but Iturres wanted to swim across the lake.
According to police, his friends tried to stop Iturres, but he began swimming. One friend tried to swim after him but lost sight of Iturres.
Dive teams found his body in the lake around 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
An investigation is ongoing.
