WILKES-BARRE — A man who was involved in a hit and run died Friday in a Luzerne County hospital.
Police said Corey Ryan, 20, was hit by a car driven by Danielle Castrignano, 20, on June 15th on South River Street in Wilkes-Barre around 2:00 a.m.
According to police, Castrignano drove off after striking Ryan, who was a paraplegic in a wheelchair.
Ryan, was rushed to the hospital after the crash and was listed in critical condition for the last two weeks. He died Friday.
Authorities said Castrignano, of Kingston, turned herself in the day after the crash and told police she thought she hit a shopping cart.
Castrignano faces a list of charges and is currently locked up in a Luzerne County jail.
