Motorcyclist Killed in Crash

COVINGTON TWP. — A man is dead after hitting a deer while riding his motorcycle Thursday night in Lackawanna County.

The Lackawanna County Coroner said John Bentler, 63, of Covington Township died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash happened on Route 435 in Covington Township just before 10:00 p.m.

Police are investigating the crash.
