JACKSON TOWNSHIP -- The husband of a woman already accused of abusing several foster children, now faces abuse charges himself.
The charges against Luella Jo Mengine were filed last month in Columbia County.
Officials accuse her of torturing four foster children at her home in Jackson Township, near Benton
Tuesday morning, authorities also charged the woman's husband, Leon Mengine, 50, with 12 counts of assault.
He is locked up in the Columbia County jail.
