Shining on the Diamond

PITTSTON TWP. -- Adults with special needs can now shine on the diamond.

Victory Sports in Luzerne County offers adults with disabilities the chance to play baseball and basketball in organized leagues.

About forty players took the field last night at the Pittston Township Little League facilities.

Most graduated from Challenger Baseball. That program allows disabled children the chance to be on a team and compete.

Officials with Victory Sports say after getting through the challenger program there was a need for a similar league for adults.
