Now that school is out, some businesses are hoping those students are interested in a summer job, especially one resort in the Poconos.

That resort is Camelbeach Mountain Water Park, which has expanded over the past year with more rides, which means they need more staff.

They're also hoping high school students apply because some students in Monroe County will have more days of summer to work.

The water park is still hiring and is looking for high school and college students to fill dozens of available positions.

"We do still have jobs, for teenagers, high school and college age. Lifeguards and water park attendants, some work in food and beverage or janitorial maintenance," said Megan McHugh, the director of public relations at Camelbeach Mountain Water Park.

The water park already hired about 60 more students than last year, all because the park is expanding with more rides.

Those who decide to apply and get a job also get great benefits. Mainly, great job skill training.

"They are great jobs to learn customer service, to learn communication. A lot of kids are used to texting and e-mail and they're not used to one on one contact. So even as a lifeguard here you have to get used to talking to people, which is a skill you'll need no matter what your job is when you grow up," said McHugh.

"It's nice to get some hands on experience while I'm still in college," said Tom Maloney, a student at King's College.

Maloney said having a summer job is great learning experience for when he enters the working world.

"Basically I answer phone calls, I make reservations and answer any question any guest has about Camelbeach and our attractions here," said Maloney.

This year, teens who go to the Pocono Mountain School District or Stroudsburg Area School District can work longer into the summer because school for them doesn't start until after Labor Day. That not only helps those students, but also the places where they work.

"They get to earn a little extra money. It's great for us because in the past we've had a hard time keeping the staff because they go back to school and we had to make concessions here. But this year hopefully we'll have enough staff to keep the park fully operational for the entire time," said McHugh.
