With all that hot weather it looks like we are going to get next week, people are preparing for it.

Lowe's Home Improvement in Montoursville has a large supply of air conditioners. With the official start of summer in less than one week, customers are checking out the selection.

"Well, we're here to buy an air conditioner. A free-standing air conditioner. We're going to have some house guests in June and July and it's likely to get warm in our house, so it's time for an air conditioner," said Robert Klarsch.

Robert Klarsch seems to have the right idea. Lowe's employees suggest buying air conditioners before it gets really hot outside, because when it does...

"The store will be swamped with customers coming in to cool themselves down," said Rob Storms.

Temperatures are predicted to reach more than 90 degrees next week. Assistant store manager Rob Storms expects a lot of shoppers who will want to cool off.

"As we anticipate, as we talked earlier, with the weather next week we will sell a lot of air conditioners," said Storm.

Of course people need to keep cool when they are outside. Newswatch 16 stopped by Aquarius Pool and Patio where people were getting their pools ready for summer.

"Well I came in here today to get my pool water checked. It had been cloudy and I'm trying to get it cleared up. Making sure everything is set for summer so everyone can swim in it and have fun," said John Smay.

Employees at Aquarius Pool and Patio in Williamsport said sales are up because of the hot spring weather. They said more people are investing in their backyards, and want to cool down as the weather heats up.
