Crews were called to a partial building collapse in Shamokin on Friday.
It happened on Shamokin Street around 3 p.m.
Fire officials said part of an abandoned building slated for demolition began to crumble and collapse as children played in a nearby yard.
No one was hurt, but crews were called in right away, and the street was blocked off for safety reasons.
“My kids would come in like every half hour and tell me like you know, something else fell or the building started moving more, and I would come out and actually see it moving,” said Stephen Smith of Shamokin.
Shamokin officials said they hope to have the building down on Saturday.
