A man from Luzerne County faces theft and arson charges after he dropped his cell phone at the scene of the crime, according to police.
Brian Gashi, 39, from the Harding area was taken to jail by Plains Township police at around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said Gashi dropped his phone while stealing from the little league concession stand in Plains Township Saturday morning.
Investigators believe he’s the man who torched the building to cover the theft.
Authorities in Plains Township say they used the phone to track Gashi down and that he admitted to the crime.
Gashi faces charges of arson, theft, burglary, and criminal mischief.
