Woman Arrested After Knifing

Police in Luzerne County arrested a woman for stabbing a man after hurling bricks at him.

It happened after 10 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of South Broad Street in West Hazleton.

Police said when they arrived, they found bricks had been thrown, damaging a vehicle, and Adrian Vega, 20, had been stabbed.

They arrested his girlfriend Stephanie Torres, 20, after a struggle.

Torres faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest, and harassment. She was taken to the Luzerne County jail.

The victim was flown to the hospital. There is no word on his condition.
