A man from Luzerne County was arrested on child sex charges.
Police took Clyde Tonkin, 29, of Pittston into custody on Wednesday.
He was arraigned in West Pittston around 8:30 p.m.
Tonkin is charged with statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault of a person under 16, and aggravated indecent assault of a person under 16.
Earlier this year Tonkin was found with a missing 14-year-old girl from Luzerne County. The girl was pregnant.
At that time police could not charge Tonkin with kidnapping because the girl went with him willingly.
Now, authorities said, the girl has given birth and the baby belongs to Tonkin, prompting the child sex charges filed against him.
