One Dead in Fiery Crash

One person was killed early Thursday morning after a car went off the road and into some trees.

State police said the crash happened just before 3 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Route 3023 and Route 29 in Dimock Township.

Troopers said the driver ran a stop sign and drove into a parking lot before hitting some trees and rolling down a hill. The car rolled over onto the driver’s side before bursting into flames.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
