Police in Luzerne County said speed played a role in a deadly motorcycle crash.

It happened just before 2 a.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Main Street in Jenkins Township near Wyoming.

Police said officers clocked the motorcycle going more than 90 miles an hour on River Road. When officers tried to pull over the bike the driver, Keith Dzanis, 41, of Pittston Township, lost control and crash into a wall.

Dzanis died at the scene.
