We start with Regan Rome from Dallas in the girl's 3200 meter run. Rome ran her best :12 seconds faster than her qualifying time a 10:44 good for third in the state.

Boy's AA race in the 2 mile a two-man show between Brendan Shearn from North Schuylkill and Rico Galassi from Holy Cross. In the end Shearn shined for gold placing first in 9:22.

"It's hot the sun kills you out there. I knew I just had to keep pushing if I was going to break these guys. Their all amazing competitors Luke, Rico, Sam they're all great guys. I knew it was going to be a battle out there. I knew I needed to take it home," said Brendan Shearn.

Britni Phillips from Bloomsburg placed fourth in the girl's AA triple jump with a leap of 36 feet 10 and 1/4 inches.

Christine Streisel from Tamaqua took second in the girl's AA javelin with a throw of 149 feet 2 inches.

And Martin Steve from Hanover Area placed third in the AA boy's discus with a throw of 157 feet 10 inches.

With the temperatures in the 90's all day here at Shippensburg it's causing concern for the athletes so we brought our track expert Lyndsay Barna here to the State final for some advice. Lyndsay what do they need to do? Find shade stay hydrated and keep cool. OK in the AAA boy's high jump Shavinski Thomas from Pottsville already over 6 feet 8 inches. What does he need to do to go higher? He needs to stay at the same approach but arch to get higher.

Shavinski misses at 6 feet 9 inches and places 6th in a very deep field.

"I definitely thought I could have done better. I had a couple of faults here and there. My spikes weren't the greatest either, but overall I am still kind of happy," said Shavinski Thomas.

Rachel Fatherly from Williamsport follows up her state championship from Friday with one on Saturday in the AAA girl's discus. Fatherly throws it 139 feet 6 inches. The Millionaire is good as gold with the state title.

Jenn Slagus from North Pocono finishes second.

Ellen Shepard from District IV and Central Columbia takes home 7th in the 100 and 6th in the 200.

Monty Szuciks from Palmerton finishes off a great season in style taking two 4th place finishes in the 100 and the 200 in 22.49 seconds.

Amy Viti from Hanover Area runs a 57.62 seconds for third place in the girl's AA 400 meter dash.

Langston Northern from Stroudsburg we've been featuring him all season takes third in the boy's 100 meter dash.

And Teri Stoner from Montoursville takes fourth in the AA 100 meter hurdles in 15.29 seconds while Quieterra Gross from GAR brings home 5th.
