A man is dead after his car went airborne and flipped early Sunday morning in Susquehanna County.

State police said David Bryant, 23, of Little Meadows was traveling westbound on route 4018 near the New York state border around 1:45 a.m. Troopers said Bryant lost control of the car and crossed into the eastbound lane and went off the roadway.

The car then went into the air, over a small creek and struck a retaining wall and tree.  The car came to rest on its roof.

Bryant died at the scene.
