Highway Signs Alert Drivers to Traffic Changes

Something new is showing up along area highways where crews are working.

Orange construction signs have been put over the usual green overhead signs on Interstate 81 between the Viewmont Mall and the I-81/84/380/ Casey Highway junction in Dunmore.

The new signs are to alert drivers that traffic patterns will change on that part of I-81 in Lackawanna County.

PennDOT will begin daytime construction in that area the Tuesday after Memorial Day.
