Dozens turned out to the Great Northeast Job Fair Wednesday hoping to land some employment.

A sea of people filled a building near McAdoo. It's the faces that are behind the unemployment figures, but the Great Northeast Job Fair was unusual too.

Lynne Neal deals with prisoners and is looking for employers to help the state.

"We're hoping to get some employers to come to a job fair that we're going to be hosting for inmates that are going to be released back into society and to help them with the reentry process," Neal said.

Then there is Carrie Jabs. She couldn't find a sitter for her sons Cody and P.J. so she brought them along as she searched for a job.

"Looking for warehouse or manufacturing just about any kind of job really," Jabs said. "I have put my applications out even before here and there is nobody calling. It doesn't seem that there is anybody hiring."

Dan Deromedi lost his job, got another one and now doesn't have enough points to draw unemployment benefits.

"A lot of people are looking for full-time work, job security and things of that nature and are hard to come by you know," said Deromedi.

Some said that with the economy, employers have a big pool of people to pull from. Organizers said thousands of people poured through the doors.
