The manager for a McDonald’s in Susquehanna County has been charged with stealing $10,000 from the restaurant in April.
State Police said Stacie Congdon-Wilder of Montrose was the manager of the McDonald’s just off the Gibson exit of Interstate 81. Investigators said she was supposed to deposit the $10,000 into a McDonald’s account at a local bank.
Congdon-Wilder first told police she accidentally threw out the check. She later admitted to wanting to pay debts off with the money but then panicked and threw the check out.
Police said Congdon-Wilder plans to take out a loan to repay the money.
