Hazleton’s police chief and a motorcyclist were hurt Friday morning in a crash.
It happened about 10 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Broad and Laurel streets.
Police Chief Frank DeAndrea was driving a marked sport utility vehicle which collided with a motorcycle.
Chief DeAndrea told Newswatch 16 the motorcycle ran a red light and hit his SUV.
Motorcyclist Walter Bloss of Drums was flown to the hospital for treatment. There is no word on his condition.
Chief DeAndrea was also hurt.
