Federal investigators are expected back on the scene Monday of a plane crash in Wayne County, the third in just over a week.

The small plane went down Sunday near Route 296 outside of Waymart around 5:15 p.m.

Two people on board. One, Walter "Scotty" Ogden, is still in the hospital.

Crews said the plane skidding during takeoff, causing the crash.

"From what we're gathering, a gentleman was flying his relatives around this afternoon.  His last flight out he went to take off and as he's coming down the runway he veered off to the left," said Steve Price of Wayne County Emergency Management Agency.

Earlier this month a small plane crashed into trees near Cherry Ridge Airport in Honesdale killing one person and last Wednesday two people were killed and a third person was hurt when their small plane went down near Sterling.
