Downed Lines Snarl Traffic

Crews in Lackawanna County reopened a road that was shut down for part of the Friday morning commute.

Route 11 heading toward the Scranton Expressway, in the section known as the Notch, was closed overnight.

Dispatchers tell us PPL and PennDOT shut down the road due to downed power lines.

Traffic leaving the Abingtons was forced to find another route.

The road was reopened around 8 a.m. Friday.
