SCR SCHOOL UNIFORMS

Scranton’s school board voted Monday night to approve the district’s new uniform policy for grades nine through 12.

The school board previously voted to institute uniforms earlier this year.  Monday night’s meeting described what students may or may not wear.

Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, Scranton High students must wear collared shirts.  The shirts must be white, royal blue, navy, pink, or gold and burgundy.  Students must also wear either navy blue or khaki long pants or standard shorts.

Students who violate the dress code will be given three strikes by school officials.

The punishment for a violation is an out of school suspension.
