The Luzerne County coroner has identified a man killed Sunday night in a crash on Interstate 81.
Carlos Medina, 51, of Scranton was killed when he was thrown from the pick-up truck he was driving, according to police.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. on Interstate 81 north in Plains Township near the Wilkes-Barre exit.
Police said the truck was speeding on the on-ramp from Route 115/Route 309 to I-81 north. Troopers said Medina lost control of the truck on a curve. The trucked rolled several times, throwing Medina.
One lane of I-81 north was closed along with the exit to the Cross Valley Expressway, both are now open again in Luzerne County.
