The team of Taylor Ross, Missy Burke, Erin Jaeger, and Michelina Holmes from Abington Heights won the Distance Medley race at the 2012 Jordan Relays held Thursday,  May 3 at Scranton Memorial Stadium.

Their winning time of 9:48.89 is a new Jordan Relay record breaking the old AAA record held by Honesdale set back in 2001.

On the boy's side in the Distance Medley the team of TJ O'Hearn, Tyler Shotto, Ryan Rigau, and Mike Brier won the race in 8:18.55

Shotto and Rigau increased their lead by running excellent 400s, giving anchor Mike Brier a comfortable lead over the likes of Aaron Wilkinson from Valley View, Mike Burke from Abington Heights and Rico Galassi from Holy Cross.

In the girls 4 x 100 relay sophomore Carli Lucke from Valley View ran past Lauren Hoyt from Abington Heights for the win. The Cougars take it in 50.12 while the Comets come home in second place in AAA in 50.27.

On the AA side in the 4 x 100 the Lakeland girls took first and set a new Jordan Relay record with a their time of 50.49 breaking the old mark set by Montrose in 2009 of 50.67 seconds.

The boys 4 x 100 was a photo finish between Valley View and Mid Valley. Running the final 100 meters Garrett Rupe from Valley View and Kyle Laniewski ran to the wire together. In the end it was Rupe and his team in 43.48 a new Jordan Relay record in AAA while Mid-Valley came home in 43.51 a new AA Jordan Relay record.

Western Wayne in girls AAA won the 1200 sprint medley in 2:56.10

Holy Cross and Valley View finished tied in the boys 1200 sprint medley in 2:29.10

Andrew Nelson from Holy Cross made a late charge to get the tie in AA. Valley View won on the AAA side.

In the girls 3200 meter relay Abington Heights set a new Jordan Relay record in AAA by running a 9:43.77

Honesdale girls set a Jordan Relay AAA record in the 1600 relay with a new winning time of 3:59.64 seconds.
