A man from Scranton is locked up after admitting he robbed a deli Monday morning, according to police.
Investigators said a man wearing a mask and carrying a gun robbed White House Steak and Deli on East Elm Street, getting away with about $70.
Detectives identified the man as Quran Stokes, 21, of Scranton. During questioning, Stoked admitted he robbed the deli to get money to pay off a debt.
Stokes is being held in the Lackawanna County jail on armed robber, theft and receiving stolen property charges.
