BUTLER TOWNSHIP — A man was taken to a hospital after an out-of-control oil truck ran him over then hit a house in Schuylkill County.

Dispatchers said Jerry Melusky, 66, was delivering oil to a home in Butler Township when his truck began to roll away.  The truck hit a fence and then a home on Rapp Road.

Authorities believe there was a problem with the brake on the runaway truck.

Melusky attempted to stop the truck but was run over in the process.  Emergency crews flew him to Geisinger Medical Center near Danville.

He is listed in serious condition as of Monday night.
