In the Poconos, a pickup truck crashed into a business Sunday morning.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. on Route 611 near Tannersville.

According to police, the driver of a pickup truck lost control of the vehicle. The pickup struck a van outside one business, before smashing into a store front.

The owner of that business said he was hoping to open June first, but now that will have to be pushed back. Still, he said the wreck could have been worse.

“It could have been worse I guess. We could have had the store totally stocked and ready to go, or somebody be inside. Nobody got hurt luckily,” said Steven Ryder.

Police believe there may have been a mechanical problem with the pickup truck. That crash in Monroe County is under investigation.
