Three Accused of Illegally Shooting Deer

Three men from central Pennsylvania are accused of going on a shooting spree the day before Thanksgiving last year, killing and injuring nearly a dozen deer.

Justin Munson, 19 and Matthew Stoltzfus, both of Turbotville and Codey Bomberger are charged with unlawful killing or taking of big game.

Court papers said the three spotlighted deer from a truck while driving through Lycoming, Montour and Columbia counties and shot at the deer.

Officers with the Pennsylvania Game Commission said the three men shot at least 10 deer. Most were killed. Some were left where they were shot and another was tossed in a ditch in Union County.

The three are free on bail.
