Theft Charges Against Businessman Dismissed

For the second time a Lackawanna County judge Friday dismissed theft charges against a businessman because of a lack of evidence.

Joseph Occhipinti of Madison Township was accused of stealing nearly $500,000 after he took money to deliver gasoline to a mini-mart in Daleville but never delivered the fuel.

Last year a judge dismissed the same charges because prosecutors did not file them right away.
