On the day before he is scheduled to plead guilty to federal corruption charges, former State Senator Bob Mellow has been ordered to repay thousands of dollars to the state for an ethics violation.
The violation concerns a building in Peckville where Mellow had a district office.
In 2007 Mellow became part owner of the building but continued to use state money to pay rent on the office in the building.
Thursday the state ethics commission ordered Mellow to repay $21,000 to settle the ethics violation.
