An argument at a youth baseball game in Lackawanna County led to criminal charges for a coach for the Valley View Babe Ruth Baseball League.

Police said Coach John Zahradnik of Archbald argued with an umpire during the game at the Colliery Avenue Baseball Field in Scranton, then argued with parents.

Investigators said when a man tried to break up the argument, Zahradnik tried to run over the man with his pick-up truck, then pushed the man to the ground and punched him.

Police said that’s when Zahradnik grabbed a handgun from the truck, then drove away.

Zahradnik was charged Friday with recklessly endangering and harassment,  He is free on $20,000 bail.
