And again in the second the power play worked when Jason Williams found Cal O'Reilly near the back of the net. O'Reilly slipped one past goalie Dany Sabourin for the 2-0 lead.
The Pens won the game 3-1, Hershey erased goalie Brad Thiessen's shutout big by scoring late in the third period.
Colin McDonald added his second goal in the third period on a 2 on 1 rush. McDonald put the puck in the back of the net for the 3-0 lead.
Thiessen made 19 of 20 saves and the Pens lead this series 1-0,
