East Stroudsburg House Fire

An early morning fire forced a family out of their home in Monroe County.

The flames started just after 1 a.m. in the home on Lenox Avenue in East Stroudsburg.

Fire officials said when they arrived, flames where already shooting through the roof. There is extensive damage to the roof and attic.

Crews said the family who lives there was able to get out safely.

Fire officials have not determined the cause.
