With earth day this month, there are plenty of ways to put the “Power to Save” into action in April.
One way is to get involved in one of the many, many, community cleanups happening this weekend.
One site that’s scheduled to repeat throughout the area on Saturday: volunteers pitching in to get rid of all the litter and other debris that’s piled up over the winter in parks and other public places.
It’s all part of an effort called the Great American Cleanup of Pennsylvania.
Volunteers are still needed, and people are encouraged to wear old clothes and bring garbage bags, rakes and shovels.
