Wilkes-Barre police released new information Tuesday about a home invasion and shooting.
It happened early Monday morning on the 200 block of Kidder Street.
Police said James Rankin of Allegheny County broke into the home and used a stun gun on the two people in the home. They managed to call police
When officers arrived, they said, Rankin jumped out a third floor window and ran. Officers followed and when Rankin refused to obey their orders and acted suspiciously, he was shot by one of the officers..
Investigators said Rankin’s injury is not life threatening.
