A man died and four people have to find a new place to stay after a car slammed into an assisted living facility in Luzerne County, according to police.
The Luzerne County coroner’s officer said Brian Geiser, 27, of Mountain Top died from injuries he suffered in the crash.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the corner of Warsaw and Simpson streets in Swoyersville.
Neighbors said the car was speeding on Simpson Street when the driver lost control and hit the home at 11 Warsaw Street. The crash was so violent the house was condemned.
The people who live there were moving their belongings out shortly after the crash. The company that runs the facility is finding a new place for the residents to stay.
