Former Teacher Admits Having Sex with Student

A former teacher with the Bangor Area School District pleaded guilty Thursday to corruption of a minor after admitting having sex with a 17-year-old student.

Rachel Farrell, 26, faces up to five years in prison.

According to prosecutors, the 17-year-old student told investigators he and Farrell had sex on a number of occasions between August, 2010 and January, 2011.

Farrell was charged in January.
