A hospital in Schuylkill County that was banned from admitting new patients is now not accepting any new patients in its long-term care center.
A spokesperson for Saint Catherine Medical Center near Ashland said the hospital is working with patients and families in the long-term care facility to move the patients to other facilities.
A new federal report spells out the reasons why the hospital was banned from accepting medical patients last month, including no surgical gloves and questionable equipment.
The state has also shut down the emergency room and there are no out-patient services at Saint Catherine Medical Center.
