Crews in downtown Scranton tied up traffic most of Tuesday replacing traffic lights on Courthouse Square.
North Washington Avenue was closed due to the work which caused slow-moving traffic during the day.
Crews plan to finish work on the North Washington Avenue traffic lights and have the road open around 5 p.m.
PennDOT is preparing to replace and rewire 56 traffic lights all over Scranton in the next few weeks.
