It's a record breaker! Friday night's Mega Millions jackpot will be worth close to a half billion dollars.

Nobody hit Tuesday night's $363 million jackpot in the Mega Millions lotto.

The record-breaking jackpot for Friday night will now be worth at least $476 million.

Despite the overwhelming odds against winning, people at the Convenient on Main Street in Old Forge lined up for a chance at history.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are one in 175 million.

Those astronomical odds didn't stop Peggy Evanitsky from buying a ticket.

"You still want a shot at the money? Yes I do.  What would you do? Uh, everything I dreamed of," said Peggy after she learned the odds.

Even the mayor of Old Forge wanted in on the action.

"It's a chance we all have to take.  I'd buy a community center for the kids. That's it. The rest goes to my son," said Mayor Michelle Avvisato.

The Mega Millions record jackpot drawing will be held Friday night. You can watch it live on WNEP TV at 11 p.m.
