Holy Cross vs Imhotep Eastern Final

Josh Kosin started the AA Eastern Final with a three point shot for Holy Cross. Ryan McGoff and Connor Jones nailed big "3" pointers in the final minutes of the first quarter for the 15-7 lead over Imhotep Charter out of Philadelphia in Wednesday's game at Bethlehem Liberty high school.

Midway thru the 2nd quarter Imhotep tied the game at 17-17 on Brandon Austin's steal and dunk. The elusive 6-6 junior guard has already verbally committed to play at Penn State after his senior season.

Much of the 2nd quarter saw the teams trade free throws and Holy Cross lead 24-21 at the half.

Josh Kosin-the Holy Cross junior slammed one home in the 3rd quarter to put the Crusaders ahead 28-25.

The last field goal for Holy Cross would come at the 4:48 mark of the 4th quarter on a Kosin move inside. They lead 32-30.

Kamani Jordan hit a "3" at the 3:40 mark of the 4th to put the Panthers ahead 36-34.

Down one with 15.5 seconds remaining Josh Kosin missed an open jumper.

Brandon Austin hit one of two free throws for the 37-35 lead.

With 8.2 seconds on the clock Holy Cross went to sophomore guard Connor Callejas. His shot in the lane was blocked by an Imhotep defender. They recovered the loose ball the horn sounded as Holy Cross came up short losing 37-35.
