Two people were arrested and another taken to the hospital after a fight Sunday night in Duryea.

Police were called to the 1200 block of Main Street just before 8 p.m. after two men and a woman began fighting.

Officers said it started with an argument between Daniel Dade and Jason Kuna, both of Duryea.

Witnesses said Kuna shouted racial slurs at Dade, the hit him because Dade parked in front of Kuna’s driveway.

The fight escalated, according to police and a passenger in Dade’s truck, Belinda Glover got involved, hitting Kuna with a fishing pole, according to police.

When officers arrived they found Kuna with several stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital.

Dade and Glover were arrested, and charged with assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.

In a search Monday officers found a box cutter which they believe was used in the fight.

Police expect to charge Kuna for his role in the fight.
