A former Scranton firefighter will spend five to 10 years in prison for arson.

Last December Thomas Gervasi was found guilty of setting fire to his garage on Mark Avenue in 2008.

That fire spread to a house that Gervasi owned, forcing out his tenants.

In addition to jail time, Gervasi was ordered to pay $130,000 to the fire victims.
