Mt. Carmel into State Quarters

Mt. Carmel improved their overall record to (27-0) with a 67-52 victory over Minersville in the 2nd round of state play in girls’s AA action.

On December 28th, 2011 Mt. Carmel beat Minersville 62-59. This time around a good 1st quarter helped build a lead.

Minersville played hard in the second quarter to get back into the game, but behind Kim Andruscavage and Alison Varano the Lady Red Tornadoes turned up the tempo and pulled away in the 3rd quarter.

Mt. Carmel moves into Friday’s state quarterfinal game.
