Corey Keener the senior wrestler from Blue Mountain high school and defending state champion used quick work on Thursday night to defeat Dylan Steffenino from Upper Perkiomen 21-8 in the preliminary round of the AAA State Wrestling Championships at the Giant Center in Hershey.
Keener then beat Dustin Rook from Big Spring 11-4 in the quarterfinal round on Friday.
Keener with a (45-1) record faces a freshman Patrick Duggan from Cumberland Valley in Saturday's semifinal. Duggan struggled to a 2-1 victory in his quarterfinal match.
The AAA State Finals are Saturday night at 7pm.
