The Panthers of Pocono Mountain West are the new District 11 AAAA Basketball Champions after their 57-53 win over Parkland.
Coming into the 2011-2012 season West returned one starter.
In the latest Super 16 rankings Pocono Mountain West sits 3rd behind District 4 AAA Champion Danville and District 2 AA Champion Wilkes-Barre Meyers.
During their run to the title in District 11 Pocono Mountain West beat Whitehall 59-46, and Easton 50-42.
The first round of the state playoffs start on Saturday March 10th, 2012 when Pocono Mountain West (22-4) hosts Coatesville (23-6) at 6pm at Bethlehem Freedom high school
