A teenager from Wilkes-Barre is charged with two attempted robberies in Wilkes-Barre last month.

Police said Anthony Walsh, 17, tried to rob Appliance Parts ETC on George Street and Leonard’s Market on Kado Street on Febraury 18.

At Appliance Parts ETC, police said, a man pulled a gun on the clerk and demanded money, but ran out of the store before getting anything.

About a half hour later, investigators said, a man tried to rob Leonard’s Market, again pulling a gun on the clerk.  The clerk sprayed foam window cleaner in the man’s face, and he ran out of the store.

Police said Walsh was identified by both clerks as the person who tried to rob the stores.

Walsh is charged with armed robbery.
