Police in Carbon County are investigating the deaths of two people found Saturday in their home.
Police found the bodies of John and Mildred Carnochan around noon Saturday at the Split Rock Resort Community.
Officers went to a home on Wolf Hollow Drive in Kidder Township to check on the welfare of Carnochan’s who were both in their mid-70s.
Inside they found the couple’s bodies. Police said they had not been heard from since Wednesday.
Police will only label the deaths suspicious.
A Coal Township police officer spotted the Carnochan’s Cadillac near Shamokin Saturday night.
After a high-speed chase, there was a brief stand-off with the driver, who then shot and killed himself.
The car was being driven by Greg Demage, 30, of Jim Thorpe who was a person of interest in the death investigation.
