Cougars Claim Championships

It’s a great day to be a Cougar! Both the Misericordia men’s and women’s basketball teams took home the Freedom Conference Championship on Saturday night.

The Lady Cougars upset King’s College 64 to 54 to win the title. This is the first NCAA tournament bid that the women have ever received.

The men’s team outscored Wilkes in the second half 45 to 15 to take home its first ever Freedom Conference title. The final score was 69-42 and Saturday marked the first time that Misericordia teams claimed NCAA berths on the same day.
