Teen Accused in Slashing

A teenager is locked up in Luzerne County on charges he slashed another teen’s throat.

Police said Sunday night Zackary Yashkus, 18, of Kingston went to his ex-girlfriend’s house on Lynch Lane in Wilkes-Barre.

Investigators said during an argument he grabbed the 17-year-old girl and slashed her throat. She is expected to recover.

Yashkus is being held in the Luzerne County jail.
